The Input-Process-Output (IPO) cycle connects work outputs directly to the next cycle as new inputs.
How Work Outputs Become Next Cycle Inputs
Input (The Starting Point): Raw data, materials, instructions, or resources given to a system.
Process (The Work / Action): The CPU, software, or human labor that manipulates, calculates, or transforms the input.
Output (The Work Result): The finished product, report, decision, or service created by the process.
Feedback / Next Cycle Input: The output from one work cycle is reviewed, stored, or fed back into the system as the updated baseline or raw input for the next cycle.
Example Flow
Cycle 1 Work Output: A completed monthly sales report or a low-stock inventory alert.
Next Cycle Input: That exact report or alert is used as the foundational data to plan next month's budget or trigger a new restock order.
